appli. Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026
Appli is a browser extension that helps you track job applications. We take privacy seriously — all your data stays on your device by default.

What data Appli handles

Third-party services

Appli uses the Anthropic API (claude.ai) for AI enrichment of job postings. When enrichment runs, a portion of the job description text is sent to Anthropic's servers. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to this data: anthropic.com/privacy.

Appli has no other third-party integrations and does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Data storage

All application data is stored locally on your device using the Chrome Extensions chrome.storage.local API. Appli does not operate any servers or databases. Your data is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to any external service.

LinkedIn interaction

On LinkedIn, Appli monitors for Easy Apply form submissions to automatically log applications. It reads job title, company name, and description from the LinkedIn page you have open. No LinkedIn credentials or personal profile data are accessed or stored.

Permissions explained

Your rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete all tracked applications at any time using the "Clear all" button in the extension settings. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

Children's privacy

Appli is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will be updated. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
